IPY in returning the body of Bang Kamal Remains Of Two Victims Sent Home By A M Zukarnaen Bandar Seri Begawan - Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei, Mr Rahardjo Djojonegoro, attended a prayer service for the late Kamaluddin Said at the RIPAS mosque yesterday. The mortal remains of the Indonesian national leader for the Ship of Southeast Asia Programme left the country yesterday for Indonesia. His body will go via Singapore before reaching his birth place Medan in Indonesia. The Thai head of delegate who survived the car crash had the photo of Kamaluddin Said by her bedside. It was learnt the two were the best of friends and she was in a state of shock after hearing about his death. She now carries the photo of her departed friend everywhere she goes, said her roommate who shares her first class ward at RIPAS Hospital. In a separate prayer service yesterday, the Malaysian Embassy in Brunei held a prayer service for the late Jamdin Hj Ramli, the national leader of the Malaysian delegation. His remains were sent to Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Meanwhile, the parents of the late Ms Sinohara Akiko, the administrative staff of the Nippon Maru youth ship, arrived here yesterday to take her body to Japan. The participants of the Southeast Asian Youth Programme and the staff of the Nippon Maru ship are saddened by the tragic loss of lives. The disaster has hit them the hardest as they had spent time with each other for the last three weeks. The worst road accident in the Sultanate this year, that killed five delegates, has left the people shocked and distraught.
